Passionate about video games, I’ve spent countless hours playing obsessively since the very first DS. The goals, the connections with my closest friends where laughter and frustration erupt, and then the thrill of performance. Being able to fully exist in a world where it’s completely allowed and even encouraged… that’s where I wanted to be. On Animal Crossing or Mario Kart, battling with balloons in Block Fort, or on Burnout, crafting the most spectacular crashes… Later on, I was blown away again by Naughty Dog’s games, the open worlds of Red Dead and Ghost of Tsushima. It was in these other worlds that I lived most intensely, and in that same spirit, I naturally began to build my own, carving it onto paper with my symbols, my struggles, and my vision.

Early on, I realize the immeasurable potential I have. Which is, of course, completely false (see my first self-portrait). As a child, I mostly draw animals of every possible color, sometimes I even invent them. I fill page after page with characters that I carefully organize in a folder. A little later comes my DC Comics/Marvel era (don’t ask me to choose), where I redraw a lot of superheroes in pencil on graph paper. I draw a lot for my friends, and seeing how much they enjoy it makes me want to keep going. I fall very quickly into realism and start producing sketch after sketch, searching for shapes. I never stop until I believe in it enough.
